October 26, 2020 – ITS World Congress ALL-ACCESS, brought to you by Premier Sponsor, Amazon Web Services (AWS), concluded the live portion of its first-ever virtual event series on October 8, 2020. Amid travel and large gathering restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) and Reed Exhibitions delivered a virtual event this fall bringing together more than 2,600 ITS community professionals from a diverse audience profile including public sector transportation agencies, private sector, academia, engineers, architects, MPOs and more.
Over the course of four weeks, the event paved the way for innovation, thought-leadership and valuable insights by providing a total of 47 networking and educational opportunities hosted on the ITS World Congress ALL-ACCESS Knowledge Center in the form of keynotes, interactive sessions, discussion groups, live Q+A’s and more. Educational themes included Seamless Mobility and Changing Behavior, Disruption on the Digital Highway: Data, Intelligent, Connected and Automated Vehicles, Sustainable Transportation, Planning for the Future Transportation Ecosystem and more, with an average of 131 attendees registered per session and an average verification rate of 70%.
The online Knowledge Center will continue to house on-demand sessions including two keynotes, concurrent session blocks, State DOT Roundtables on Safety and Equity, MOD/MaaS workshops, a Fireside Chat on Sustainability, Sponsored Infosessions, Networking Chatrooms and more! During the event, the Knowledge Center had 7,088 unique visitors and 10,178 page views.
“We’re thrilled we were able to deliver virtual opportunities that enabled our intelligent transportation community to network, explore and stay on top of emerging trends,” says Jaime McAuley, ITS America Event Director, Reed Exhibitions. “Now going forward, we strongly encourage the entire ITS community to utilize our on-demand digital education programming to learn about advancements, research and innovative ways to deploy intelligent transportation technologies to prepare for 2021 and beyond.”
“ITS World Congress ALL-ACCESS was a terrific opportunity to connect with stakeholders from across the industry and around the world during this time where we cannot gather in person,” said ITS America Chief Operating Officer Laura Chace. “It was very gratifying to see the enthusiastic response to our virtual event, and we are pleased to provide this forum to continue these discussions in the months ahead.”
