LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The ITS World Congress 2022 officially concluded today with a record number of registered attendees and announced Atlanta as the next U.S. city to host this premier global event, hosted in partnership with ITS America, ITS Asia-Pacific, and ERTICO – ITS Europe, and produced by RX.

With more than 6,000 industry professionals from 64 countries in attendance, delegates experienced cutting-edge technologies, educational programming, and demonstrations showcased by industry leading organizations.

“We were thrilled to once again bring industry leaders from around the world together to discuss how transportation technology is creating a future that is safer, greener, and smarter for all,” said Laura Chace, President and CEO of ITS America.

Over the course of the week, ITS World Congress hosted more than 180 educational sessions and panels where experts discussed priority issues surrounding the transportation space. Key highlights include opening remarks from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and ITS leaders from the United States, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Additionally, the show featured plenary sessions that focused on safety, equitable mobility, decarbonization, and the importance of digital infrastructure.

“ITS World Congress 2022 successfully united global industry experts to develop smart transportation solutions into the future. It was fantastic to see the international diversity and footprint the show recruited to attend,” said Jaime McAuley, ITS America Events event director at RX.

As this year’s World Congress concludes, efforts now shift to upcoming ITS America hallmark events, including the next North American-based ITS World Congress in Atlanta, Georgia.
