Join this hands-on demonstration of connected infrastructure with CAVe-in-a-box! Participants will learn how different applications of connectivity, as well as edge computing, can enable system-wide informed decisions and improve roadway safety in a truly connected transportation ecosystem, that includes vehicles, infrastructure, freight, and pedestrians. The presenters will provide an overview of CAVe-in-a-box and demonstrate how a CARMA Freight truck sends and receives messages using CAVe-in-a-box, and how a FLIR camera communicates the existence of pedestrians in intersections using CAVe-in-a-box.
